Is it me, or does it seem like summer and autumn this year were particularly short? Maybe it’s me, or maybe it’s the crazy schedule, but either way I’m left with some regret that I didn’t get to do all the things I wanted to do over the seasons. Which demonstrates to me that we can dream and think of doing so many things, but never really get around to them. Maybe this is the time to start! Why leave it until the start of the year to make a resolution, let’s start now.
As we enter into the festive season of Christmas (my favourite time of the year), I wish all our readers and partners a very prosperous and fun filled time.
As you can imagine, I have the opportunity to meet a wide array of people and entrepreneurs every day. I love learning about what drives these inspirational characters. I have had the pleasure of knowing our cover star Amit Patel for a few years now and he teaches me something new each time we meet.
Very rarely do I come across someone who has achieved such success at a reasonably young age yet remained so humble. I spent a beautiful day in the company of Amit and his family as we shot for the magazine and conducted the interview (Which is out now in the Autumn edition). There’s some fantastic elements of Amit’s story of how he grew his business and sold it for £306m 24 days before he turned 40. An interview definitely not to be missed.
A huge congratulations to my good friend and AWM cover star Amandeep Singh a.k.a. INKquisitive on his recent engagement (sorry ladies). A hugely talented artist with a heart of absolute gold.
Wishing both Amandeep and his beautiful wife-to-be all the best for the future. Follow them @MrAndMrs.Ink
I’m sure many of you dads can relate to my situation. We work hard to ensure the kids have what they need and sometimes even what they want. We try our best to find the illusive balance between work and family life but it gets hard and mist sometimes clouds our judgement to what is most important.
One thing I do without fail each year is spent a weekend with my girls. No work, just doing what the girls love doing and spending unconditional quality time with them.
This year we spent the weekend in London and did everything from afternoon tea to cinema to M&M World to even breakfast in bed. I’ve got to say it was the most enjoyable weekend I had with the girls in a very long time and I urge you fathers to try it if you haven’t done so already.
A very big thank you to the team at The Radisson Edwardian Hampshire who looked after my girls and I while we enjoyed our ‘Daddy and Daughters Weekend’ in London.
Hotels, bathrobes and breakfast-in-bed. People might think my two have me wrapped around their little fingers! Well, it’s true but okay, because I made peace with that a long time ago. Now I just join in the fun with them and get in trouble.
It’s a pleasure to announce Asian Wealth Magazine is now partnered with Etihad Airways. A relatively new airline with it commencing operations in Nov 2003 but I can pretty much bet you’ve heard of the airline.
The team and I are super exited to be working with such a prestigious airline and look forward to bringing you some great stories, images and features on the brand and the airline itself. #staytuned
As I continue welcoming new clients, please allow me to carry on with another partner Jaguar Land Rover. Another great brand who’s jumped onboard the AWM train.
I recently had the pleasure and company of this sexy beast for a week and I have to say as soon as you press the ‘start’ button and feel the roar of the engine you immediately realise you’re in the presence of something very special. Look out for my full review of the Jaguar F-Type in the next edition of AWM.
Diwali is always a very special time in my calendar. An opportunity to catch up with friends and family I haven’t seen in a while. Recently, I spent the evening not only in the company of friends but some very inspirational people.
I celebrated Diwali in the company of some great friends some of whom have graced the cover of AWM over the years for a private dinner hosted at Heathrow VIP. The dinner was also partnered with Etihad, Porsche, Investec Bank, Soneva and our charity partner Lepra.
Such a wonderful evening, but I’ll tell you one thing, getting all these people in the country at the same time was no easy task, but we made it happen.
