McLaren Elva revealed: Feast your eyes on the extreme new roadster

Luxury & Lifestyle 13-12-2019

The new McLaren Elva is a ferociously fast open-cockpit car; an extreme two-seater with a bespoke carbon fibre chassis and body…but no roof, no windscreen and no side windows. With every sensory input heightened, this is a car that exists to provide unparalleled driving pleasure on road or track.

The Elva is the brand’s latest addition to the range topping Ultimate Series which includes McLaren P1TM, McLaren Senna and Speedtail. A roaring tribute to the Bruce McLaren-designed 1960s McLaren Elva sports cars which are an embodiment of McLaren’s pioneering design and engineering principles.

The Elva is McLaren’s lightest road car yet, with its bespoke carbon fibre chassis and body, unique carbon fibre seats and sintered to carbon ceramic brakes. With the absence of a roof, windscreen and windows, the Elva offers an incredibly immersive and enthralling experience.

“McLaren continues to push the boundaries of supercar and hypercar development in pursuit of outstanding and unparalleled driving experiences for our customers and the McLaren Elva epitomises that pioneering spirit. The McLaren-Elva M1A [Mk1] and its successors are in many ways the true spiritual forerunners of today’s McLarens – superlight, mid-engined cars with the highest level of performance and dynamic excellence. It’s fitting that the new McLaren Ultimate Series roadster – a uniquely modern car that delivers the ultimate connection between driver, car and the elements and with that new heights of driving pleasure on road or track – acknowledges our rich heritage with the Elva name.” Mike Flewitt, CEO McLaren Automative

Only 399 examples of new McLaren Elva are available to customer order, from £1,425,000 including VAT.
