Not many companies join forces and immediately start to work on an investment transaction in one of London’s most notable addresses, but Asian Wealth’s sister company Capital36 has signed a lucrative partnership deal on one of the most prestigious landmark investment opportunities to be offered in London’s West End this year.
Capital36 has joined forces with GMG Real Estate, a boutique European real estate asset manager with an impressive track record in identifying, managing and delivering development and asset management lead projects in the UK and Europe.
“We’ve been looking for an opportunity that not only works as an iconic building that represents our brand, but also makes fantastic business sense,” says Sunny Patel, Director of Capital36. “By combining forces with GMG we’ve been able to secure an exclusive opportunity which promises to make headlines in London’s property market.”
Along with its partners, GMG is known to have successfully transacted on nearly 30 assets since 2005, representing a market value of circa EUR 1bn. The company currently manages 15 projects, spread between United Kingdom, Portugal, Switzerland and Germany and recently completed the £24m acquisition of 1 Old Queen St, in St James’s during the middle of lockdown in June this year.
Showcasing the strength of joint capabilities in the market, this partnership will allow the clients of (AWM) Capital36 to gain access to true off-market deals which are typically reserved for institutional funds, and clients will be supported by a full investment team operating across Europe.
“Through this partnership, we will be able to service our high-net-worth clients with the right type of deals,” says Sunny. “We have the client base and the strength to work on some of the most exciting projects in the country, and GMG is the perfect execution partner with proven capabilities to deliver. We see a real opportunity where our clients can co-invest or work directly with us to take advantage in some of the most exciting deals in the UK.”
Simon Banks, Executive, GMG UK Real Estate, says: “GMG Real Estate is delighted to have forged this exciting new strategic partnership with Capital36, substantially expanding our reach into the Asian capital markets and beyond. Both organisations share a common philosophy and our international investment, development and asset management platform is positioned perfectly to meet the demand from Capital36 and its investors for the highest quality real estate investments in the UK and Europe, where we can drive value end to end.”
